Ukraine will establish 10 weapons export centres across Europe, marking a major shift in wartime policy, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced.
The centres will operate in several countries, with Germany among the first, where full-scale production of Ukrainian drones is set to begin shortly, alongside similar operations already running in the UK.
Zelensky said Ukraine has around 450 drone manufacturers, including 40–50 top-tier producers, and described drones as the country’s largest and fastest-growing wartime industry.
After lifting long-standing restrictions on arms exports in 2025, Kyiv plans to sell surplus military equipment under a controlled system and reinvest the proceeds into urgently needed weapons.
The initiative is part of a broader push to internationalise Ukraine’s defence industry and position the country as a key security partner for Europe through its battlefield-tested technologies.
