Ukrainian infantry have continued to exploit a disruption in Starlink communications affecting Russian forces and launched opportunistic assaults across three sectors of the 1,100-kilometre front, reportedly capturing 11 villages, according to Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

The most significant progress occurred in the Zaporizhzhia region near Hulyaipole, where combined infantry, armour, and drone units advanced along a 30-kilometre front and recaptured five settlements.

These attacks forced Russian troops to withdraw across the Haichur River, allowing Ukraine to regain control of territory that had been held by Russian forces since late summer.

Veteran Ukrainian brigades and assault regiments had reportedly assembled earlier in February and led the offensive, with some units claiming significant Russian casualties, though those numbers could not be independently verified.

Russian military sources also acknowledged that several elite Ukrainian assault formations took part and confirmed that heavy fighting occurred in multiple fortified villages.

The shutdown of unauthorised terminals by SpaceX disrupted Russian battlefield coordination, disabled unmanned ground vehicles, and forced reliance on less secure and more vulnerable communication and supply methods.

Additional, smaller Ukrainian advances were also reported near other frontline areas, indicating broader pressure on Russian positions across multiple sectors.
