Five Palestinians, including two children, were killed and dozens injured in Israeli strikes in al-Mawasi, near Khan Younis on Wednesday. The attacks followed clashes in Rafah that left four Israeli soldiers wounded.
The Israeli strikes also burned several tents housing displaced Palestinians, with medical sources reporting that the bodies arrived at hospital badly charred. Israel said the operation targeted a Hamas commander and labeled it a response to the clashes, despite ongoing ceasefire violations since October 10.
