At least four Palestinians were killed and several others wounded on Monday as Israeli forces continued firing on Gaza neighbourhoods despite the ceasefire.

One victim was a man struck by an Israeli drone in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, in an area beyond the so-called “yellow line” marking Israeli military control. Al Jazeera reporters said Israeli attacks persisted throughout the day, with artillery, air raids, and helicopter strikes occurring in both northern and southern Gaza.

Israeli fire also hit areas outside the yellow line in Beit Lahiya, while tanks and helicopters targeted zones near Rafah and the outskirts of Khan Younis.

Correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum reported widespread destruction in Gaza’s eastern neighbourhoods, describing a pattern that families say appears aimed at creating uninhabitable buffer zones.

In central Gaza, civil defence teams recovered eight members of one family from rubble in the Maghazi camp following an earlier strike. Gaza’s media office said 582 bodies have been retrieved since the ceasefire began, while more than 9,500 people remain missing beneath the ruins.

Meanwhile, Hamas said it recovered the body of an Israeli captive in Nuseirat, as the GHF announced it would end its controversial, US-backed operations in Gaza under the terms of the ceasefire.
